Incorrect model identity, pricing context, imagery or retailer destinations can materially affect a buying decision. Corrections therefore need to flow through the structured source of truth rather than being patched on one visible page.

What counts as material

Examples include wrong product or variant identity, compatibility, feature claims, lifecycle status, price representation, retailer link, image provenance, affiliate disclosure, testing status or evidence changes that can alter suitability.

Correction workflow

  1. Capture the issue, affected product/page and source of the concern.
  2. Verify the strongest available current evidence, preferring a primary source.
  3. Correct the structured product, retailer or media record.
  4. Re-run relevant comparison, finder, link, accessibility and route QA where output could change.
  5. Update review dates and operating records for material changes.

Minor edits

Spelling, formatting and non-substantive wording can be corrected without implying that underlying product evidence changed.

Change history

Australian Product Guide maintains operational decision and QA records. Public update summaries may be published where they help shoppers understand coverage or material methodology changes.
